Aggressive Criminal Defense Throughout South Carolina

When you’ve been charged with a criminal offense, the anxiety and uncertainty can quickly become overwhelming.

The granting of probation is a matter of grace, with no vested right to its continuance. If, during probation, it appears that the probationer is likely to again engage in criminal conduct, the court may revoke probation. If probation is revoked, the court may sentence the probationer in the same manner and to the same penalty as it could have done if probation had never been granted.

Drug Crimes

  • In South Carolina, drug offenses are subject to increasingly severe, mandatory minimum sentences. Prosecutors have the power of the State behind them and often press hard to obtain convictions in such cases. If you are arrested for drug possession, possession with intent to distribute or sell, drug trafficking, transport, smuggling, drug manufacturing, or cultivation, you need a lawyer who is experienced in these kinds of cases. Put my years of experience to work for you.

DUI/DWI

  • We know that being charged is a stressful and horrifying experience. It is not uncommon for law enforcement to make mistakes in this area of law. Whether a police officer gets a faulty reading from a Breathalyzer test, or your blood alcohol content appears elevated due to a medication you take, or even if you are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, the Partridge Law Firm will guide you in the pursuit of justice.

Probation Revocation

Upon finding that a probationer has violated the terms and conditions of probation, the Circuit Court may:

  • Continue probation without punishment for the violation
  • Modify the conditions of probation or extend the period of probation
  • Revoke probation and sentence the defendant on the underlying offense.

The granting of probation is a matter of grace, with no vested right to its continuance. If during probation, it appears that the probationer is likely to again engage in criminal conduct, the court may revoke probation. If probation is revoked, the court may sentence the probationer in the same manner and to the same penalty as it could have done if probation had never been granted.
